Our Inspiration
It really started back in 1998. We were living on our small farm south of Corvallis and one of our outbuildings needed to be replaced. We needed to hire a craftsman.
Were we lucky when a friend recommended Don. He could do just about anything and what he couldn’t do well, he knew someone who could. By the time he’d completely rebuilt the shed and added a lean-to for the tractor, we were so impressed with Don’s approach to his work that it was natural to pivot our attention to the old farm house.
Don assessed our deteriorating house and made structural and aesthetic recommendations. By that time, he’d become a trusted friend, so we let him identify the priority for repairs, maintenance, and improvements.
Our handyman projects kept Don busy for over a year. When he made a repair, it was done right. When he said, “I’ll be there by 8:00,” he was there by eight. If something went amiss, Don was sure to set it right.
Don is retired now. And when we moved to Salem we had a hard time finding someone to replace him. Someone with that old fashioned combination of skill and integrity. Someone willing to tackle home maintenance as well as home improvements. Someone who cares about the quality of his work. Someone we can trust.
